“By this we know love, because He laid down His life for us. And we also ought to lay down our lives for the brethren.” (1 John 3:16)

LOVE ONE ANOTHER!

​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​

"By this we know love, because He laid down His life for us. And we also ought to lay down our lives for the brethren."

The preceding verse says:  "whosoever hates his brother is a murderer:..." (1 John 3:15) 
And John goes on to write today's verse, "By this we know love". It takes sincere love to receive a brother who is a difficult one! Lord help us all.

In the contrary see what Jesus had done for us:  "...While we were yet sinners, Christ died for us". (Romans 5:8)

​

He set a standard for us to follow, laying down our lives for others, it be sacrifices we do for others as well! May the good Lord grant us all grace to do that, in Jesus name! Amen!
